Our documents can be executed or used outside of the province of Ontario.

As general rule in Ontario, notary public services might be rendered online; however, some services must be  in-person.

Effective August 1, 2020, Ontario legislation permits remote commissioning, provided that certain conditions are met.

WHICH DOCUMENTS CANNOT BE NOTARIZED ONLINE?

  • Certified True Copies of Documents;
  • Trusts;
  • Payment Bond or Letter of Credit;
  • Passport Applications and Statutory Declaration in Lieu of Guarantor for a Canadian Passport;
  • Separation/Divorce Agreements; and
  • Negotiable Instruments.
 
 
 

Notarization of Documents in Spanish 

We assist our clients to notarize documents drafted in Spanish to be used in Spanish-speaking countries, including Mexico, Spain, Colombia, Peru, El Salvador, etc.

As a notary public  I am here to witness and authenticate the execution of certain documents, verify the identity of the signer(s), verify the signer(s)’ willingness to sign the documents, and verify their awareness of the contents of the document or transaction.

No, in Ontario no all documents can be notarized online; here are some exceptions:

  • Certified True Copies of Documents;
  • Trusts;
  • Separation/Divorce Agreements; and
  • Negotiable Instruments.

Yes, MC Law is BOTH a Mexican Canadian lawyer and a foreign legal consultant. We can assist you in drafting powers of attorney and wills & testaments that can be executed, effective and enforceble in Mexico.

Due to the complexity and sophistication of dealing with legal matters in a foreign jurisdiction like Mexico, no free consultation is available.  We charge an initial consultation fee, however,  if you decide to retain our services within 10 days after your consult, your payment will be fully credited towards your legal fees.
