Welcome to MC Law Firm | Abogados (“the Firm,” “we,” “our”), operated by MC Law Firm and/or Luis Guillermo Cruz Rico, Barrister & Solicitor (Ontario) and Foreign Legal Consultant (Mexico). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website located at www.mclawoffice.ca (the “Website”).

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

 

1. Important Disclaimer – No Legal Advice

• Any information provided on this Website is for general information and reference purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.

2. Scope of Legal Services

• Ontario Services: Legal services are provided in Ontario by Luis Guillermo Cruz Rico, Barrister & Solicitor, regulated by the Law Society of Ontario.

• Foreign Legal Consultant (Mexico): As a licensed Foreign Legal Consultant, Luis Guillermo Cruz Rico is authorized to provide information and advice on Mexican law in Ontario pursuant to a permit from the Law Society of Ontario.

• We do not provide advice on the laws of jurisdictions where we are not licensed.

 

3. Website Features

(a) Appointment Booking

• Appointments booked via the Website are subject to confirmation by the Firm.

• Booking an appointment does not by itself create a solicitor–client relationship.

(b) Newsletters & Subscriptions

• By subscribing, you consent to receive newsletters, updates, and communications related to our practice.

• You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in our communications.

(c) Online Payments

• Where available, online payments for retainers or invoices are processed by third-party service providers.

• The Firm does not store full credit card or banking details. Payments are subject to your retainer agreement with MC Law Firm and/or Luis Guillermo Cruz Ricoand the Solicitors Act (Ontario).

 

4. Confidentiality and Privacy

• Information submitted through this Website (including contact forms, newsletters, or booking requests) may not be secure. Please do not provide confidential or sensitive information until you are a client of MC Law Firm and/or Luis Guillermo Cruz Rico.

• Once you become a client, your information will be handled in accordance with the Rules of Professional Conduct of the Law Society of Ontario, including duties of confidentiality and solicitor–client privilege.

• Personal information is collected, stored, and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 

5. Intellectual Property

• All Website content, including text, graphics, images, and design, is the property of MC Law Firm and/or Luis Guillermo Cruz Rico, or its licensors.

• You may view and print Website content for personal, non-commercial use.

Due to the complexity and sophistication of dealing with legal matters in a foreign jurisdiction like Mexico, no free consultation is available.  We charge an initial consultation fee, however,  if you decide to retain our services within 10 days after your consult, your payment will be fully credited towards your legal fees.
